Chandran Thangayah is the Principal Consultant and certified trainer at De Chanla Global Sdn Bhd. He brings 31 years of experience from the Ministry of Health, Malaysia. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Food Safety & Nutrition from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (2000), a Master’s degree in Food Science from UKM (2008), and a Diploma in Public Health from the Royal Society of Health, London (1985).
His work gives clients current technical advice on ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP, food labelling, hygiene and sanitation, food sampling, mineral water, drinking water and ice licensing, inspection of food premises, Malaysian food safety legislation (Food Act and Regulations 1985), and requirements for export of fish and fish products to the EU and USA.
He has served as a Lead Auditor for food factories including Ajinomoto (Malaysia), Nestlé, Cadbury, Cerebos, Cargill Palm Products, Campbell Cheong Chan (M), Dutch Lady Milk Industries, Gardenia Bakeries, Guinness Anchor, Lee Kum Kee, Yeo Hiap Seng, and many others.
His qualifications and experience let him advise food businesses on food safety, quality and legality — and on training and consultancy that adds value for the customer.
